Tax Return Needed
"Hello, I'm Margaret, a 68-year-old Australian woman. I'm currently receiving the full age pension, $800 a month as a pension from my super and I also work part-time, earning around $500 a month from my job. With this income setup and receiving the pension, I'm unsure if I need to submit a tax return this year. Can you please advise if I still need to file a tax return given my circumstances? “
Investing Conservatively
Peter from South Fremantle writes “I have always been invested quite conservatively within my super account and I've been quite concerned about its performance last financial year as it went backwards. Should I be making some changes to my portfolio? “
Age pension whilst living overseas
Steve from Scarborough writes: “I am 68 and I am going to live in Canada to be closer to my daughter. I am in receipt of a small fortnightly age pension amount and would like to know if I am still eligible to receive this when living overseas. Do I need to tell Centrelink of my plans and will they still pay me the same amount?”
